Generations of Experience
As a young boy growing up in England I watched my father build and create with wood in his small workshop at the bottom of the garden at our small council house. It was an early introduction to how creating something out of wood could be done with a few simple tools and the heart to do so.
The Family in Canada
Later as a young man of 18 I returned to Canada and sponsored my family to relocate here in this beautiful Country of my Birth, Canada. Always fascinated with Nature and especially trees, I learned to appreciate different grains and properties of this ever so important material as I spent much of my younger years hiking forests and wilderness trails around the Kawartha Lakes area with my loyal malamute, Buck
From Kawartha to Wheatley
Now after several busy years of life including relocating from Peterborough & the Kawartha Lakes area to Wheatley Ontario, I now have time and opportunity to work on building my passion of creating things with wood into something I can offer to others. I am also working towards more 3d carving using a smaller CNC Mill which I will hope to create some beautiful pieces with. The “Bark Bark” part of the equation is my trusty sidekick Berkut and his Greyhound pals Abby and Onyx. As a Hortaya Borzaya and not a greyhound, Berkut is the “Bark Bark” component along with the wood I use and it is never a dull moment with either!
A Conscious Business
We have always loved animals and dogs are at the forefront, Sighthounds in particular! Being able to support well-deserving organizations and groups where we can is part of the drive towards crafting these items.
Donating to responsible charities and groups is an important part of supporting your community. We advocate for Responsible Donations and through research and interaction are certain the organizations we give to channel that money to the right places and not into someone’s pockets or to further a negative agenda!
